Hey what are your views on this Barton fella. Should he be taken back to newcastle after being released from prison. Seeing as he has a HUGE record of violence towards everyone. i think the guy should be sacked. Then let him find his own way back to football.

The FA are thinking of suspending him for 15 matches (is that a lot in season terms?) Plus he was given a six month (I think) sentance and was already charged with four months for a different assault. Then he was released about 70 days later. WTF Still I dont care, supposedly hes pretty crap.

Meh, the whole countrys going to hell, whatcha gonna do? Barton should be allowed to play football again, but imo he should have to play in the Championship, League One or League Two, not in the Premiership and certainly not for a team with as much prestige as Newcastle. I'm all for second chances and that stuff, but wasn't Newcastle his second chance, what with all that junk with training ground bust ups at Man City? Another issue this pulls up is the education of our footballers. Bear with me for a sec here, but lets say that Barton is kicked out of League football, eg the FA gives him a lifetime ban. Then what is he going to do? I can guarentee you that this guy dosn't have much in the way of a education because when he was young he probably would have been playing footy rather than studying, and the guy is a thug, to be perfectly honest. If he can't be paid to play football, he's gonna have to work at McDonalds. Oh wait, he probably shouldn't work there, thats where he got his first assult charge from.

He won't need a job, he's bloody loaded. And why throw him down to our leagues the Championship is not a league for thugs any more than the premiership, if he's going to be banned then it won't be for just the premiership it'll be from all tiers in FA registration. Anyhow the insident didn't happen on a football pitch so why punish him in football. If he gets into a fight on a pitch, which yes he has but not majorly, then by all means they should ban him, but not at the moment.

Football players aren't just football players anymore. In fact I don't think they ever were. Their celebs and role models for children. So if he gets in a fight anywhere, they need to be punished by their employers. This is where the FA comes in. Besides, if you or I got a job and beat up someone in town and gets a criminal record, your employer wouldn't say 'Oh its ok, I can't punish you cause you didn't do it at work', he would send you packing. Another thing you highlighted is that you think he has enough money to last him. Well for one thing, he is probably too used to a playboy lifestyle. And I would expect even if he tried to live a life like mine on the money he has, the credit crunch would hit him pretty hard soon.
And just an fyi, I don't think the FA would ban him anyway, they havn't banned players for abusing cocain or rape before. And thats not what this thread is about, the question being asked is should NEWCASTLE sack him.

seriously rape. Man thats bad. Still I know what you mean, he will blow his money so fast even if it stops rolling in, habits are hard to break. Something should happen to him for some kind of punishment.

i agree he agrees to be punished, but there's not a chance newcastle will sack him, at the end of the day he's still a good player and after last season, Newcastle need him. Going back to the money thing, i don't think you people quite understand how much money he has while at man city the minimum he was ever on was 10k a week. When he got a regular place in the first team that grew to almost 50k a week. After over 120 appearances and playing for England he moved to Newcastle and signed a deal of 70k a week. This guy has probably got a savings account with at least 10mil in it, which is still picking up intrest, so unless it was in Northern Rock, i'm guessing he's pretty set.
